Trust makes bid to HLF for restoration works at historic Crofton



On 25th February, the Trust submitted a bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for funding for essential repairs at Crofton and to develop better interpretation, activities and visitor facilities to attract a wider and more diverse audience, thus securing Crofton’s future.  The project is entitled: Our Crofton Story: its Buildings and its Peoples

Could you be our new Health & Safety Adviser ?

We're looking for a new Health & Safety Adviser to help us keep our volunteers, staff, customers and other visitors safe.  The role covers all our activities including our buildings, our 8 boats and our mighty beam engines at Crofton.  It's a varied and flexible role and provides the opportunity for someone with the right skills to enable us to carry on our wonderful work along the canal whilst maintaining our excellent safety record.  Details of the role are available HERE

Trust Council minutes for January 2016

Trust Council met on Tuesday 5th January.  It reviewed early indications of financial performance for 2015; considered the work starting up management of the Bruce Trust fleet; and work under way at Crofton over winter.  The minutes of the meeting are available HERE

The Bruce Trust Newsletter


Our partners at the Bruce Trust have published their annual newsletter.  It describes the great 2015 season getting disabled people and their families afloat.

We're now working in partnership and the marvellous volunteers of the Bruce Trust are now the Bruce Branch of the Kennet & Avon Canal Trust.  We're helping to ensure that 2016 continues the great work.
